| Pro Review: | By Charles Webb Originally posted at ComicsBulletin.com This is an okay issue which fails to move the story along as briskly as the latest issue of Incredible Hulk but nonetheless movement does occur. As the Leader and his merry band of villains attempt to complete their super genius collection, Banner and the Red Hulk try to throw a monkey wrench into the works. Given the nature of this kind of event book very little goes well for the heroes and the villains' plans get to plod forward a notch.
Again, it's okay but it's made slightly crappy by Loeb's overuse of internal dialogue for the Red Hulk. There's a lot of it and most of it is bad. It's a lot of mulling over the nature of war (or something) while the character mixes it up with super-powered apes. Po-faced mental noodling in the background and big crazy action in the foreground don't work as well as the writer perhaps thinks.
I don't know, I didn't really have the energy to build up good or bad will towards the book. It just does what it does and hopes you come back next month.
Final Word: Minus the endless, irritating caption boxes, this is a decent enough issue that moves the "Fall of the Hulks" storyline forward incrementally.
